FAQs

A few Frequently Asked Questions, in case you had one.
FAQ 1: Are the materials provided in this course sufficient?

finRGB's 'Comprehensive' is a self contained course which contains all that you'd need to do well in your Part I / Part II exams. The videos and handouts / summaries are in-depth and there are interactive question sets with detailed solutions.

FAQ 2: Is any element of the course available in hard copy or physical format?

No, the course contents i.e. videos, handouts / summaries and question sets are purely offered via the online medium i.e. the finRGB portal.

FAQ 3: Can the videos be viewed in an offline mode? Are there any limits on the number of times they can be viewed?

The lecture videos require a working internet connection. While you can view them on any device (smartphone, desktop or tablet), they cannot be viewed in offline mode. To enable you to finish a video in a single sitting, its duration is kept short (typically 8-20 minutes) and it usually covers a single learning objective. Videos catering to relatively harder concepts may require multiple viewings, so there are no limits on the number of times any video can be viewed. The video player offers multiple playback speeds.

FAQ 4: Will I be provided with all course contents at the point of registration?

Unless there are substantial announced changes to the curriculum, Yes, you will. finRGB's self paced online course is structured as a 16-lesson course, with each lesson designed to be consumed in a span of approximately a week - you're welcome to set your own pace and consume it faster or slower. The topics / readings are sequentially arranged as per the study plan, which you're encouraged to adhere to. Since the curriculum is not static, but subject to a once-a-year update by GARP, there may be topics whose study materials (videos, handouts / summaries, quizzes) are updated while you're enrolled in the course. You'll be notified about such updates and changes when they happen.

FAQ 5: What methodology should I follow if I purchase the finRGB online course for FRM Exam?

The 16-lesson study plan assigns a certain number of prescribed readings to each lesson (3-4 readings / lesson for FRM Part I and 6-7 readings for FRM Part II). As a suggested methodology, you're required to watch all videos for each reading, alongside jot down your notes on printable handouts / summaries provided, and finally, attempt the quiz assigned to the chapter to help assimilate all concepts introduced in the videos.

FAQ 6: On a week by week basis, how much time investment am I looking at?

The study plan attempts to cover roughly 4 chapters of the curriculum in every lesson (6 chapters per lesson for Part II candidates). If you were to target finishing a lesson in a week's timeframe, it will require a time investment of roughly 12 hours per week - sustained over a period of roughly 3.5-4 months. The last 2-3 weeks prior to the exam will require a more concentrated effort - both for revision as well as additional practice.

FAQ 7: How long will I have access to my course contents?

The access to course content is valid till the "valid till" date mentioned on the course product page when the preparation course was purchased.

FAQ 8: Is there a free trial available before I register?

A collection of sample videos are provided on the respective course pages. We urge you to view these before registering and ensure all aspects related to suitability of the course to your learning needs.
