Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

finRGB supports candidates in their pursuit of professional certifications like FRM®. We, at finRGB, clearly understand the importance of protecting the private information of users – information that is collected at the registration stage and later during the tenure of online courses provided by finRGB. This policy describes how we collect and use personal information provided by registered course participants.

2. Personal and Non-Personal Information

The type of personal information collected is listed below:

  • Contact details such as name, email and billing address,
  • Communication and interaction with other course participants and forum moderator(s).
  • Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses (used to connect your computer to the Internet), your browser, operating system i.e. information that is “non-personal” and cannot be used to identify the course participant.
  • Tracking codes such as cookies.

Note that any payment information to enable purchase of online courses is directly collected by payment providers that finRGB works with. This information is neither collected nor stored by us in our database(s) in any form whatsoever.. Payment providers that we use (PayPal and Razorpay) have their own terms and privacy policies, that you, the course participant in finRGB course need to comply with.

3. Using your Information

Your information is used by finRGB for the purpose of providing you a better course experience and following up on your progress. We will also use your information to detect or investigate any suspicious activity relating to prospective violations of our Terms of Service and in general, keeping the finRGB website safe and secure. Information such as name and billing address (essentially your location) will be used for filing of tax returns with local government authorities.

The information collected by us is never sold or shared by us with any third party. finRGB does not have any third party advertising affiliations. A course participant’s information will never be shared, sold or manipulated in any way for the benefit of another organization’s benefit.

Course participants need to be aware that information such as your name and / or e-mail address may be accessible to other users in the course community designed for information sharing and discussions with the course instructor. finRGB does not take any responsibility if this information is collected and disclosed by a course participant to a third party.

4. Cookies

We do use cookies, but it is purely for the purpose of authenticating you, enhancing user experience and collecting automatic information such as IP address, browser, operating system and entry/exit pages.

5. Policy Changes

finRGB reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect any changes to our practices related to personal and non-personal information. As and when the policy is updated, the “Last Updated” time-stamp will be changed and course participants will be notified of such changes. Any updates become effective immediately after they are posted. It is the course participant’s responsibility to review this Policy (and Terms and Conditions) periodically – acceptance to these is required for continued access to course materials. Prior consent from enrolled course participants will be sought if there are any material changes to this policy during the tenure of the course.
